Best Practices for Safe Continuous Streaming
- Verify Track Whitelisting: If you license music from services like Epidemic Sound or Artlist, ensure your YouTube channel handle is explicitly whitelisted in their account settings.
- Avoid Commercial Radio Hits: Never broadcast Top 40 songs, commercial movie clips, or sports footage without commercial syndication agreements.
- Test Before Long Broadcasts: Always run an unlisted 24-hour test stream on a backup channel or private stream before launching your main public broadcast.
- Audio Normalization: Keep audio levels balanced between -14 LUFS to -16 LUFS to avoid distortion and clipping.
